Eight trucks damaged in fire

Eight trucks were seriously damaged in a suspected arson attack at an outdoor car park in Sung Wong Toi Road in Kowloon City. The fire broke out shortly after 4am, when one of the trucks caught fire. The blaze spread to the rest of the vehicles, causing minor explosions. Firefighters took over an hour to put out the fire.

HSBC action over data loss

HSBC this week will notify clients whose phone-banking conversations have been recorded on a backup tape it says was lost by DHL during transit across the border. Executive director Peter Wong Tung-shun said they were trying to identify the affected customers using the original tape.
