City Savigliano

Savigliano is a small town situated between Cuneo and Turin in the Piemonte region of northwest Italy. Piemonte is surrounded by the Alps, one of the greatest mountain ranges in Europe.

Savigliano is 320 metres above sea level and is a popular hiking spot. It's an ancient town, and you can still find traces of the ancient walls which were demolished in early 18th century.

The weather is quite cool throughout the year. In winter, we normally get snow. In summer, it can be humid, but it doesn't often rain.

In Italy, I studied Italian, history, literature, art history, English, philosophy, religion, maths, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and PE.

My native language is Italian, and I can also speak English and a bit of Spanish and French. In the winter, my friends and I watch a lot of movies together, and in the summer we pass our time in cafes or walking around the city. I really like being with my friends. I believe love and true friendship make the world go round.

Although Italian cuisine is famous all over the world, my favourite food is Chinese fried noodles. They are delicious!

My favourite hobby is making clothes and accessories. I also like dancing, listening to music, drawing and horse riding. I'm outgoing and would describe myself as a happy person. But I admit that I can very occasionally be stubborn and a little selfish. But overall, I am positive and optimistic: I believing thinking negatively only makes things worse. Compared to Hong Kong teenagers, teens in Italy hang out more often with their friends and they are more talkative.

I don't really know what I want to do in the future. My dream is to travel around the world so that I can explore and discover more cultures, languages and places. I have travelled all over Italy. I've also been to Spain, France and England. I am currently in Hong Kong under the AFS programme.
