Doctor admits professional misconduct

A 71-year-old doctor was found guilty of professional misconduct yesterday over the dispensing of medicines. Shiao Kuochiang admitted to the Medical Council that his patient, Wan Muk-wong, was given two different drugs in the same medicine bag on March 10, 2006. The council, which ordered his name to be removed from the general register for a month, suspended the order for a year due to his admission and remedial measures taken since.
