Computer firm wants director of operations

Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific is the Asia-Pacific regional headquarters of Fujitsu Japan, which specialises in the marketing and sales of personal computers for corporate and end-user markets in the region. The company is looking for a director of operations.

Working at a multinational company that provides information technology-based business solutions for the global marketplace, the candidate will have to manage day-to-day operational activities, including procurement, material management, order fulfilment and distribution.

The applicant must be dynamic with strong leadership skills. The job entails developing and maintaining a cost-effective logistics network that includes all supply chain elements, and a high level of customer satisfaction through completion of orders efficiently.

Applicants should have a degree in logistics, supply chain or a related discipline with at least five years' experience in a similar capacity at a multinational company.

Other responsibilities of the director of operations include demand and supply planning, inventory management and leading a team in strategic sourcing activities to maximise value gains from suppliers and implementing cost reduction programmes.

Strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential for this post.
