A homicide investigation was launched yesterday after a 46-year-old man was found stabbed to death in an Aberdeen toilet.

The decorating company owner, identified only as Lee, was found collapsed in the toilet of his office in a two-storey village house in Pok Fu Lam Tsuen by one of his staff at about 10.20am.

Workers called police and ambulancemen when they found stab wounds in his chest.

Rescuers said the man was unconscious when they arrived at the scene. He was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was declared dead 20 minutes later.

Police officers sealed off the area to investigate. They found the windows of a private car parked near the village house broken.

Western assistant district commander for crime Shing Pui-fun said blood stains were found around the area where the man was found.

'A knife believed to be connected to the case was seized and initial inquiries indicate suspicious circumstances,' Mr Shing said.

A postmortem examination will be conducted today.

The case was classified as suspected homicide. Officers from the Hong Kong Island regional crime unit are handling the investigation.

No one had been arrested last night.
