Weekend temperature may reach 34 degrees

Hot weather is forecast for the rest of this week, with the temperature expected to hit 34 degrees Celsius this weekend, the Observatory said. The Observatory's headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui recorded a high of 31.8 degrees yesterday. No hot weather warnings were issued, but in some places such as Sheung Shui the mercury climbed to 34.4 degrees. A ridge of high pressure continued to bring fine weather to the south China coast.
