The Consumer Council has received more than 60 complaints from couples who had planned their wedding banquets at Club Regency, a Kowloon Bay banquet hall. The private club will close on March 31 after its landlord won a court application last week to evict the club for failing to pay two months' rent. The club can use the premises for pre-booked weddings until March 31. Couples set to be married after that will be fully refunded, club management said. Council officials are investigating.
