OUR cosmopolitan hamlet seems somewhat bare now that the Good Morning America crew have packed their bags and left, having spent weeks prying into every nook and cranny with their TV zoom lens.
But Hong Kong's certainly not complaining about the roving cameras, having got a week-long coast-to-coast plug in the United States - something other image-conscious countries in the Asia-Pacific region would have been willing to go to war for.
While here the talk show managed to bag all the names on their hit list - or very nearly everyone.
Two of the interviews they dearly wanted - with tycoons Allan Zeman and Rupert Murdoch who is currently domiciled here - they didn't get.
From Hong Kong some of the Good Morning America team went on a scouting mission to Vietnam, recently released from the stars and stripes straitjacket, in the hope of putting out the breakfast show from there.
If the plan materialises there can only be one title deemed suitable for the show. So all together now - Good Morning Vietnam!
