Taiwan's Ho Chin-pin took 21 seconds off his own course record in winning the 10km Chung Hing Cup at Tsuen Wan yesterday in a time of 32 minutes and 11 seconds. However, the 25-year-old from Taitung received an unexpected surprise on the start line when he found himself shoulder to shoulder with Malaysia-based Kenyan Thomas Kiprotich, who is spending four days in Hong Kong visiting a friend. 'I didn't expect to see a Kenyan runner in this race but that kept me focused and even more determined to win the title for the third time,' said Ho.
