Is there really a big fan base here for Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts? Midas Promotions will find out soon enough because they've booked the pop-classical singer for a concert on Monday, October 6, at the AsiaWorld Arena. The big tenor was last in town close to a year ago to promote his debut CD, One Chance, which features pseudo-operatic versions of hits like You Raise Me Up, My Way, Music Of The Night and R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts. Since then he hasn't recorded or released anything, so obviously he's still plugging away at the same crossover shtick on this extended world tour. No doubt the climax, live, will be a rousing rendition of Puccini's Nessun Dorma from Turandot. One-chance singer or onetrick pony? You decide. Tickets are priced at HK$880, HK$680 and HK$480. They go on sale today at HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Music outlets.
