Equestrian medallist rocks Wan Chai with his celebration
A member of the Australian equestrian team didn't just ride his way to a medal, he rocked his way through some metal too.
Clayton Fredericks, who won silver in the team eventing jumping competition at Sha Tin last week, got off his high horse and took part in some less aristocratic action in Wan Chai last Friday.
In addition to consuming beverages, he celebrated his team's medals by jamming with local band Black Seraphine in The Wanch pub.
'We heard he could sing, so we invited him up for an impromptu jam and he simply took over,' Wanch co-owner John Prymmer, who fronts the band, recalled.
'He rocked the house and the crowd loved it. In fact we couldn't get him off the stage he was having such a good time. We'd love to have him back next time he's in town for a competition.'
The rocking horseman certainly wasn't singing the blues.
In addition to some Rolling Stones and Guns N' Roses, Fredericks, avid amateur vocalist, had the crowd on their feet screeching out some AC/DC thunder from Down Under.
All the while, the Aussie was also rocking enough bling around his neck to make any rapper jealous.
Yes, that would be his silver medal dangling.
