Tie Yana's retirement talk may have been premature. The Hong Kong player, who said on Wednesday these Games would be her swansong, backtracked yesterday, despite ending her campaign empty-handed as she lost 4-1 in singles to Wang Nan of China. 'I am in no rush to decide my future as the Olympic Games have just finished for me,' said the 29-year-old. Tie's defeat meant all Hong Kong's women's medal hopes were gone. In the men's singles, Li Ching was beaten in the fourth round last night, losing to Tan Ruiwu of Croatia 4-2.
