More reductions in fuel costs may be on the way after Shell took the lead in cutting retail prices by up to 22 HK cents a litre at midnight. Motorists will today be charged HK$17.09 a litre for diesel, HK$16.19 and HK$17.04 for unleaded and premium petrol respectively. The reduction was announced by environment chief Edward Yau Tang-wah, who said he expected to see more cuts. It came after an outcry that retail prices had failed to match the fall in crude prices.
