Over the Rainbow Connie Talbot (CD)

Its star may be a little girl, but Over the Rainbow is a mature and professional record. The album is a well selected and beautifully arranged collection of some of the most famous classics ever recorded.

Seven-year-old Connie Talbot has a sweet voice that touches ordinary people. She rose to stardom after she performed Over the Rainbow on talent show Britain's Got Talent. She melted thousands of hearts, even that of the famously critical judge Simon Cowell, and won second place, losing to opera singer Paul Potts.

Her debut Over the Rainbow kicks off with Over the Rainbow, magically blending the melancholy melody and lyrics with Connie's vocals.

Other masterpieces include John Lennon's Imagine, Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World, You Raise Me Up and Walking in the Air.

Connie's vocals are still raw and unpolished. But that's a big part of the appeal - after all, nobody wants to listen to a seven-year-old who sounds like an adult.
