If you love European culture and are good at art, you could win a trip to Paris.

The French Presidency of the European Union is holding a contest for budding cartoonists on the theme 'World Views on Europe'. There are no specific requirements for submissions.

Entrants can choose to draw satirical or political cartoons or portray their views on Europe through paintings. However, a written description of the artwork must be attached.

Through the contest, the French Presidency hopes to understand more about what young people around the world think about the political, social and cultural issues affecting Europe.

Winners will be invited to attend an international conference hosted in Paris at the end of October.

They will also have the opportunity to visit European institutions in Brussels, including the European Parliament and European Commission.

The entry deadline is September 5.
