Medallists to perform in Macau after HK

China's Olympic gold medallists will showcase their talent and even their singing skills in Macau after visiting Hong Kong.

Macau plans to spend 10 million patacas on arranging the athletes' activities in the city. A total of 3,000 free tickets for a show on Monday evening will be handed out to Macau residents from 7pm today.

A 93-strong delegation, including 63 gold medallists, will leave Hong Kong for Macau on Sunday and attend a government banquet.

They are scheduled to meet a group of students on Monday morning before heading for St Paul's ruins to pose for photographs.

Macau Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau-wah will meet the medallists in the evening before they put on a show at the Macau Dome in Cotai.

Some of the medallists will show off their athletic prowess while others will sing in the performance. Free tickets will be handed out at Macau Stadium this evening, with each person presenting a Macau ID card entitled to two tickets. The athletes will leave Macau on Tuesday.

They will arrive in Hong Kong tomorrow after a visit to earthquake-hit Sichuan province .
