A poultry shop operator is to be prosecuted for keeping live chickens overnight. Three live chickens were found in a cage owned by a wet market stall owner in Pak Tin Estate, Shek Kip Mei, during an inspection by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department last week. A department spokesman reminded stall owners that all live poultry remaining on their premises must be slaughtered before 8pm each day to reduce the risk of bird flu.
