Second glitch in four days hits West Rail

Hundreds of West Rail passengers were delayed in the morning rush hour yesterday after the second malfunction on the line in four days. A power cable supporting the signalling system was damaged, cutting service frequency between Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai. The fault occurred at Siu Hong station at 7.22am. Services returned to normal after two hours. On Sunday night a power failure disrupted services between Tuen Mun and Nam Cheong for 25 minutes.
