10km gold medallist set for HK

Olympic 10km marathon gold medallist Larisa Ilchenko is among the top names competing in the Fina Marathon Swimming World Cup in Hong Kong on September 28. Ilchenko beat Britain's Keri-Anne Payne and Cassandra Patten in Beijing. World title-holder Ilchenko leads a strong Russian contingent as she defends her Hong Kong crown. Italian Valerio Cleri, the defending champion, will be taking part in the men's race which also has a winning purse of HK$20,000. Cleri tops the World Cup series after wins in Portugal and Brazil.
