P & O Containers' offices in Hamburg, Bremen and Frankfurt have received a ISO 9002 certificate from Lloyd's Register for Quality Assurance (LRQA).

They are the first deep-sea international transportation operators in Germany to obtain this quality assurance award under ISO 9002 system.

The quality assurance programme has also been extended to P & O Containers' other offices in Bremerhaven, Dusseldorf and Berlin. They are expected to receive LRQA approval this month.

The company said its offices in Stuttgart, Munich and Nuremburg will be assessed by the end of the year.

P & O Containers' UK offices have already received quality assurance certification.

It is expected that the offices in Belgium, France and Netherlands will receive ISO 9002 certification this year.
