Sergeant released after drink-drive drama

An off-duty motorcycle officer was arrested for drink-driving but later released and given a verbal warning after a retest showed he was below the legal limit. The sergeant, surnamed Tsang, 37, veered to avoid hitting a taxi and rammed his motorcycle into a parked truck in New Clear Water Bay Road, Choi Hung, at 11.53pm on Wednesday. He failed a breathalyser test at the accident site but passed another at Wong Tai Sin station.
