Shue Yan University this week launched its first double degree programme in collaboration with a mainland university. The bachelor of law and business is to be run with the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. On completion of the 51/2-year programme, students will graduate from both institutions - in business and law from Shue Yan and a Chinese bachelor of laws from the Beijing university. Although held at Shue Yan, the mainland segment of the course is to be taught by visiting CUPL academics. Hong Kong's only private university, Shue Yan gained full tertiary status in December, 2006.
