Helped by its massive natural resources, Australia has weathered the global financial crisis better than other Group of 20 economies. In 2012, its economy grew 3.1 per cent, compared with 1.6 per cent in the United States and 1.1 per cent in Canada.

It would take too long to describe my city. The best way is to look it up on the internet - you'll be overwhelmed by the diverse scenery and nature.
My first language is German and I also speak English, French and a little bit of Japanese.
I lived in Australia for one year. I love to travel, and I've been to South Africa, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Finland, Belgium and Singapore. I'm going to Israel and Jordan later this year.
In my free time, I hang out with my friends or go to the movies. I barbecue a lot in summer and go skiing in Austria in winter. I would love to go gliding, so I could enjoy silence at the top of the world.
I listen to lots of different music, but especially rock: AC/DC, Gotthard (a Swiss band), Within Temptation and Apocalyptica. But I also listen to some hip hop and pop. As for movies, I love action flicks.
I visited Hong Kong recently on an exchange programme with a local university. I just loved it - the great people, the buzzing city life and, of course, the tasty food. We were shown around by locals, so not only did we see the tourist sights, we really got to talk to Hong Kong people. It was one of the very best experiences of my life.
