Hotel wins appeal over restaurant closure
Regal Riverside Hotel has won a Court of Appeal decision allowing it to apply for a judicial review of a suspension of its restaurant service that was due to take effect later this month. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department had ordered one of its restaurants to halt service for five days, stemming from a food-poisoning incident in 2004. Yesterday's decision overturned a lower court ruling that had blocked the application. Its first review application was rejected.
