Dream on and enjoy the journey

When I was a child, I believed people without dreams did not live meaningful lives. But I became confused as I grew up and gained a better understanding of this world.

I wondered if people should be too stubborn or go too far to make their dreams come true.

Although I don't have any answers to life's mysteries, I still believe I should have a dream. And you, too. So don't just sit there doing nothing. Work hard to make your dreams come true.

Your future is in your hands. Even if you cannot get what you want, you should still work hard and wait for a second chance.

Dreams never die, but you must act to make your dream come true.

From the Editor

Thank you, Zoey, for your thought-provoking letter. Lots of our readers write to tell us never to give up on our dreams. It is true those who give up easily will not succeed.

Many people spend a lot of time working out what their dreams are. Some can go their whole lives without ever finding them. So it's okay if you don't have a dream right now. It's also okay if your dream changes.

Very few people have one dream from their childhood that they carry into adulthood. As we grow, so do our dreams and goals. Things that used to be important to us when we were young become less important.

The most important thing is for us to have something to work towards, and enjoy the journey along the way.
