Son accused of murdering mother, 77

Chan Shing-lung, 38, charged with the murder on Friday of his mother, missed a court hearing yesterday because he was being treated in United Christian Hospital. The unemployed man is scheduled to appear in Kwun Tong Court again tomorrow pending his discharge. Chan is accused of murdering Ng Suen-te, 77, at their home on Hing Tin Estate, Kwun Tong. He did not enter a plea yesterday and remains under police custody in the hospital.
