Apparel group offers HK$1m for creative genius
A global apparel group is offering an amazing opportunity - and a HK$1 million-plus package - for a seasoned creative person with a strong flair and passion for fashion and design.
Derwent Executive's partner, Rachel Ta, is handling the key appointment of a creative (design) director for Epic Group.
Working closely with the CEO and the United States-based design team, the incumbent will have a team of 10 or more and will be responsible for developing strong design concepts for key American fashion brands and retailers, and some renowned European brands.
'The position calls for a lot of travel globally to source trends, colours and fabrics for each seasonal collection - interpret trends for the target market and impart them to the design team - ensuring collections are developed in the correct aesthetic and with the right target customer in mind,' Ms Ta said. 'And to ensure collections are designed, developed and delivered in a timely manner for key account meetings, market weeks and trade shows.'
Ten years of solid senior apparel design experience - with major high-street fashion American brands and retailers, and an extensive portfolio of designs for men's, women's and children's wear - is required.
English fluency is essential as is a willingness to travel at least six to eight times a year to the US, Europe and Asia for sourcing, buyer meetings, fashion shows and exhibitions. 'Over the past three years, Epic has grown 30 to 40 per cent annually,' Ms Ta said.
