The Uma Ubud spa and yoga retreat in Bali has great Christmas and New Year packages if you like to combine relaxation with celebration.

Priced from US$1,135, there is a range of two-, three-, five- and eight-night packages on offer; the three-night escape includes a Christmas Eve dinner, lunch on Christmas Day and a 60-minute Como Shambhala or Indonesian massage per person, from US$1,135 for a terrace room, while the five-night package also offers a Balinese New Year's Eve dinner followed by a poolside countdown party, priced from US$1,590 to US$2,690.

Eight-night packages combine both holiday celebrations and prices range from US$2,450 to US$4,115. All packages include daily breakfast and airport transfers.
