Name Jana Augustin
City Buxtehude, Germany
Buxtehude is a city in northern Germany. It gets quite cold and usually snows in winter. Spring and autumn are rainy, while summer is warm and mostly dry, with occasional thunderstorms.
There are around 40,000 residents in the city and a lot of beautiful old buildings.
I study a lot of subjects and enjoy school: lessons are quite active, with a lot of discussion.
I spend a lot of time with my friends. We wander around the city or hang out at restaurants. I also read a lot, do arts and crafts and listen to music. I like a cappella music, rock and pop.
My favourite sport is swimming - I really enjoy it. I'm also a member of the German life-saving association.
My family and I go on holiday at least once a year. I've been to Canada and the USA several times, and all over Europe, but I've never been to Asia, Africa or South America.
We eat a hot meal at lunchtime and bread with cheese or cold meats for dinner. I love cooking, so usually help my mum prepare meals.
Christmas is the most important festival in Germany. Everyone celebrates and houses are beautifully decorated.
Teenagers in Germany are very open-minded and have many interests. They live for the moment and have a lot of fun.
