FARE Traditional Swiss, with an accent firmly on meat, but vegetarians are also catered for. AMBIENCE Cosy, just what you want in your neighbourhood. A huge cowbell on the wall near the entrance, calfskin-covered barstools and wooden decorated walls with mementos from Switzerland add to the convivial atmosphere and provide an enjoyable escape from the crowded streets. COST Bank on HK$1,000 upwards (plus drinks) per couple. The set dinners cost HK$325 for three courses and HK$365 for four courses. Fondues range from HK$175 upwards. The three-course lunch set from Monday to Saturday is HK$142. WHO TO BRING Friends and family. Ideal for a party, too, with a private room for 10 to 12 guests. TURN-ONS Not surprisingly the chocolate (Toblerone) fondue dessert proved the highlight, followed by the cheese and tomato fondue. It might be advisable to cut down on the other dishes if you intend to tackle the fondues, as they can be filling. TURN-OFFS We had to ask for a wine menu, which was mentioned in an offbeat drinks menu handed to us with the food menus, though in fairness the table can get quite cluttered with all the assorted menus. Apart from that, the service was friendly and helpful. DRINKS Impressive range of imported alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers, and an extensive wine list. Glasses of house wine were HK$55.
