And the award goes to ...
Most shocking departure: Alessandra Facchinetti, who heard she had been fired from Valentino via the press. Ouch!
Best fashion etiquette: Lanvin, for apologising to editors for a 45-minute late start and serving yummy salami sandwiches and wine.
Best surprise appearance: old-school supermodels Stephanie Seymour (below centre) and Naomi Campbell walking the runway at Hermes.
Best set: Chanel, for recreating its 31 Rue de Cambon building, complete with pavements and curbs - oh, and they threw in four hot guys for the finale.
Most unwelcome gatecrasher: funnyman Sasha Baron Cohen dressed as his fashion alter ego, Bruno, wearing a red thong at Stella McCartney and trying to invade the catwalk at Castelbajac.
Most flamboyant bow: Alexander McQueen, who upstaged Galliano by disguising himself in a bunny suit.
Most over-exposed celebrity: occupying Kanye West's position from last season was Milla Jovovich (below left), who was at so many shows we lost count.
Best birthday bash: shared between Martin Margiela, complete with a 12-piece band (but no birthday boy) and Sonia Rykiel's 40th anniversary (below right), where we giggled at the designers' personal catwalk tributes to the flame-headed hostess, including Margiela's witty red-haired jacket and Gaultier's half-knitted dress, knitting needles still attached.
Hottest party invite: a toss-up between Domenico Dolce's 50th birthday party in Milan and Sarah Brown throwing open the doors of 10 Downing Street to London's fashion circus.
