Study to look into spreading tunnel load

A consultant will this month be appointed to study ways of evening out the amount of traffic using the three harbour tunnels, undersecretary for transport and housing Yau Shing-mu said yesterday. Mr Yau said a few options were possible to relieve pressure on the busiest of the three - the Cross-Harbour Tunnel - but 'the government does not have a preference for now'. He said he hoped the study would be completed in one year.
