I live in Orschweier, a quiet town near Freiburg and the Black Forest - where the cake is from - in southwest Germany. We get four very distinct seasons - but, of course, that could change with global warming.

I love German food. It includes deep-fried meat like schnitzel, noodles called spatzle, cakes such as Black Forest gateau dark, healthy bread like pumpernickel and pretzels.

Oktoberfest in Munich is the biggest and most famous festival in Germany. It's sometimes known as the beer festival because of the endless barrels of beer which are drunk. It also features traditional music and roller coasters.

I'm open minded, tolerant, funny, curious and love spending time outside in nature. I have a lot of hobbies: playing board games, going to the cinema, skating, tennis, beach volleyball, camping and just hanging out with friends.

I've just finished my gap year travelling around Europe, Asia and Australia, visiting friends and family with my twin sister, Katherine. The highlight was sky diving in New Zealand - I'd love to do it again.

My brother is working in Hong Kong, so Katherine and I visited him recently. I thought it was a crazily busy city with too many people.

But it's definitely a great place - and shopping is much cheaper than in Germany. I'm sure I'll come back again to experience city life.
