Filipino Antonio Asistio leads the Masters Golf Fashion Hong Kong Open Amateur Championship after firing a first round two-under-par 68 at Fanling yesterday. Doug Williams, 50, from Hong Kong, rolled back the years with a 69 to lie in sole possession of second place in the qualifying tournament. Four players are tied for third on 70, including reigning Hong Kong Close Amateur champion Roderick Staunton and Victor Ma. This week's winner will receive an invitation to play in next month's UBS Hong Kong Open.
