THE Arts Festival draws to a close this week with two extraordinary acts.
First, the Compagnie Philippe Genty presents a pastiche of dance, drama, puppetry and magic, entitled Forget Me Not . While few, even Genty himself, seem able to explain what the dream-inspired piece is about, most who have seen it commend it as an experience not to be missed.
Forget Me Not is at the Lyric Theatre of the Academy for Performing Arts today, tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, with tickets priced from $50 to $180.
Archaos, the French troupe described as ''circus for the 21st century'' has turned its back on tradition and replaced it with chain saws, smoke bombs, demolition and drama.
The motive according to co-founder Pierrot Bidon is ''to use violence to turn people's emotions around - but it becomes very funny in our shows''.
Archaos plays four evenings from tomorrow, and a Sunday matinee, at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Tickets range from $60 to $210.
