Brand management or marketing specialists are being offered a plum role which requires development effort and data analysis skills. A multidisciplinary organisation established in the 1960s seeks a brand management consultant.
The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) promotes increased productivity and the use of more efficient methods throughout Hong Kong's business sectors. The new recruit will serve as a consultant of the Intellectual Property Services Centre, providing consulting services in brand creation, management and brand equity assessment.
Daily duties include soliciting business, delivering projects and visiting clients' sites to collect information and review operations. Time will also be spent analysing data and preparing project recommendations. The goal is to develop a brand management consulting methodology suitable for the business environment of the Pearl River Delta region. The successful applicant will travel extensively on short project and training assignments.
'The differentiation of our service from brand consultants in the design industry is that we focus on the strategic management in respect of brand creation and management of a company, whereas others may focus on logos and detailed shop designs,' said Joseph Poon, HKPC general manager, innovation and intellectual property division. 'The challenge is that the recruit needs to develop the methodology for the Greater China market and build success cases with the unit leader.'
The ideal candidate should have a degree in any discipline with at least five years' work experience.
