Toads to riches

You may have come across figurines of three-legged money frogs or toads near the main entrance of homes or shops. Some of these frogs have coins between their lips and some do not; either way they are meant to improve the financial prospects of the occupants.

They should be placed next to or inside the front door, preferably in a corner on the floor. A frog with a coin in its mouth should face in towards your home; this way, it will take the wealth inside. Those with empty mouths should face outwards, attracting opportunities for the inhabitants. Some fung shui masters suggest having a frog face outwards during the day, then turning it inwards at night.

Having a larger frog does not mean you will become more wealthy. You may have seen large money frogs in commercial properties such as restaurants, but these are likely to be in proportion to the size of the premises.

Also, getting more money frogs does not result in an increase of fortune.

Be aware that money frogs are merely symbols of wealth. Placing them in your home does not guarantee financial success; they are no substitute for hard work and sound investments.
