Beverly Hills Chihuahua Comedy
Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a comedy about the adventures of a rich, pampered Chihuahua.
Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) lives in Beverly Hills with Vivian, her supermodel owner. She lives a life so full of comfort and luxury it would be the envy of the average person. Her days pass in a blur of brand-name shopping, high teas and spa retreats.
But Chloe's pampered life is brought to an abrupt halt when she is kidnapped and gets lost in Mexico. The gangsters who kidnap Chloe are demanding a ransom.
In Beverly Hills, Chloe long looked down on Papi (voice of George Lopez), a Chihuahua owned by Sam, a landscaper who works for Vivian.
Papi is madly in love with Chloe, but she thinks he's not good enough for her - until he goes on a rescue mission to Mexico with his owner.
There are plenty of laughs along the way, and the movie attempts to take on some race and identity issues, with Chloe being confronted with the Mexican origins of the Chihuahua (named after a Mexican state of the same name).
But overall, this is light, family-oriented fluff that will gobble up a couple of hours harmlessly. Beverly Hills Chihuahua opens on November 20
