The Legislative Council is to debate whether to endorse a HK$987 million campus expansion plan for Baptist University on Monday. The proposed development project would be funded by the University Grants Committee to provide an extra of 19,700 square metres of floor space. The expansion, to accommodate additional students under the new four-year undergraduate programmes starting from September 2012, would involve the demolition of seven existing low-rise blocks, and construction of a 13-storey main building and a three-storey annex block with a footbridge linking the buildings.
