Egg traders hope for action over supply woes

Traders hope to schedule a meeting with the Food and Health Bureau today over the supply of mainland eggs to the city, which has dropped by up to 80 per cent in the past two weeks after some tested positive for melamine, traders' representative Yeung Kam-yim said. Mainland inspections caused delays to deliveries and city stocks would soon run out, he said.
