Many advantages to wearing uniforms

Some teenagers don't like to wear uniforms. But most of my fellow students are very excited about Uniform Day. We can have fun wandering around the campus and taking photos with friends. We enjoy wearing our uniform.

I think there are many benefits to wearing a uniform.

We don't have to waste time thinking about what we should wear to school. When every student wears the same uniform, there's no need for comparisons. Otherwise, students would want to 'outshine' others with their dresses.

Wearing uniforms also gives a better image to the outside world. And when you are in a uniform, you are representing your school.

Be proud of your uniform. It helps to avoid unnecessary competition among students and it helps them develop a sense of belonging to the school.

Thanks for the fun letter, Carmen. Uniforms can provoke such different feelings among people.

They certainly give one a sense of belonging to a greater organisation, and ensure that people do not stand out as individuals. Some people feel this is a bad thing.

It would be interesting to find out what our readers think of this issue.
