Ngong Ping 360, the Lantau Island tourist attraction, is raising its cable car ticket prices from next month, its first fare increase since its opening in 2006.
From December 1, adults on most days will pay HK$63 for a single journey, HK$96 for a round trip and HK$159 for the 'Journey of Enlightenment' package.
On Sundays and special days, adults will pay HK$74 for a single journey, HK$107 for a round trip and HK$169 for the JOE package - which also includes Ngong Ping Village's 'Walking with Buddha' and 'Monkey's Tale Theatre' attractions, the company said.
'Ngong Ping 360 will continue to offer a 50 per cent discount for children and 25 per cent discount for senior residents,' the company added. A spokesman said the decision was due to operational costs and inflation.
