Heds will roll British house music label/event Hed Kandi is becoming something of an institution in Hong Kong and is a rare example of a global clubbing franchise successfully setting up shop in our city.

The beautiful people all come out to play at its local parties, attracted by its veneer of sophistication, the doe-eyed beauties pictured on its promotional material and its impressive roster of DJs drawn from clubbing hot spots worldwide, particularly Ibiza.

On November 22 Hed Kandi will return to Hong Kong with two performers who made a big impact on their previous visits to the city - vocalist Peyton and DJ Jim Breese.

Peyton is particularly worth catching, a preacher's son from Tennessee who started out as a lead vocalist in the gospel choir at his father's church. He was signed to the Hed Kandi label after making a name for himself on the British version of reality television show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and in 2003 scored a solo dance hit with A Higher Place, which became popular in Ibiza clubs.

It's sure to be a sexy night of smooth, funky house when Hed Kandi makes a return to Club JJ's at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai. Tickets cost HK$280 in advance and HK$350 on the door.
