Two transport workers were each jailed for one month yesterday for stealing waste government paper containing sensitive data from a contracted collector and selling it to another recycler. Wong Kuen-foon, 46, and Chan Kwong-fai, 26, earlier pleaded guilty to one count of theft. Acting Principal Magistrate Amanda Woodcock of Kwun Tong Court said the offence warranted a jail term. They admitted they sold 36 bags of waste paper for about HK$1,900.
