Hong Kong is chock full of international designer labels - from Belgian designers Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela to Japanese stalwarts such as Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garcons. But what the city's fashion scene has been lacking is representation from the mainland's talented designers - that is until now.

Pop-up store Dysemevas, which opened last week and won't be around for long, represents the best talent this region has, with six designers from the mainland and four from Hong Kong. Founded by glamorous socialite Dee Poon, the two-floor store will feature new merchandise and a fresh theme every week with decor to match.

Designers to look out for include Qiu Hao, a Central St Martin's graduate who is known for thought-provoking yet simple designs; local fashion-theatre brand Daydream Nation, which designs ready-to-wear clothing and accessories that are shown off in 'performances' at London Fashion Week; jewellery designer Winnie Lui, who creates elaborate necklaces and brooches from everyday objects and vintage toys; UnderOath tees by designer and hip-hop label owner Ji Ji; and ceramics from Beijing artist Lin Jing.
