Top tips: Mok's leg up

Singer-actor Karen Mok Man-wai shares her tips on how she maintains her trademark smooth and sexy legs:

'My work requires me to stand in heels a lot and sometimes even dance in them, so I always make time for a leg massage, or soak my feet in warm water to ease the tension. And if I have to take part in a dance sequence, I insist on completing a full set of warm-up exercises, which includes a lot of stretching to make sure my legs are toned but not too muscular.

'There is one exercise that I must do before I go to bed no matter how exhausted I am. I lie down on my bed and hold my legs up in the air, forming a right angle to the upper part of the body. I can't tell exactly how long I hold my legs up, probably 10 to 20 minutes, but I do it until I can no longer hold the position. It's a great exercise to help the blood circulation in the feet. After a day of standing in heels and putting pressure on my feet, I often have a feeling of heaviness since all of the blood goes downward and this exercise helps me to lessen that.

'I also use moisturiser after showering. It is more effective when you change your products after a certain time. When you use the same product for too long, you become accustomed to it and the products are not as effective. Usually, once I finish a skincare or hair product, I will try a new brand, or try a different product from the same brand.'
