Switzerland's Roger Federer faces the United States' James Blake at the Cotai Arena in Macau tonight, 12 months after facing Pete Sampras in the same venue, and he hopes it'll be equally memorable.

That shouldn't be a problem with legends John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg also on the bill, and Federer can't wait for the action to start.

'I am thrilled to be back in Macau after a fantastic night last year, especially playing with former greats John and Bjorn and my close friend James,' Federer said.

'We are bringing different generations of tennis together. We hope to touch many people, those who followed John and Bjorn and those who follow James and I today.'

McEnroe was certain there was still plenty of life in himself and Borg.

'Bjorn and I are just a couple of old guys that can still hit a pretty good ball. It's very rare and exciting to play with great players of today and I'm sure we'll put on a show,' he said. As for Blake, he just hoped the fun they were going to have on the court would spread to those watching.

'The fans will be in for a treat. We're going to have lots of fun and I hope that fun will translate to the fans,' he said.

The evening starts with Federer against Blake, followed by McEnroe against Borg. Then Federer and Borg will team up against the Americans.
