Mark Twain said golf was a good walk spoiled, but spectators at Fanling are spoiled for choice. Apart from great golf, scenery and weather, spectators have the chance to wing their way to Dubai.

Two Emirates cabin crew members, Janka Gregova from Slovakia and Elizabeth Tong from Hong Kong, have been promoting the airline by offering passers-by a red golf cap. On Sunday, they will select someone from the crowd wearing the cap who they feel has most entered into the spirit of the tournament. That person will win two return business-class tickets from Hong Kong to Dubai, plus two night's accommodation at the Harbour Hotel.

Gregova, who has been with the airline for eight years, said: 'Apart from golf, Emirates sponsors events from football to cricket. It doesn't get much better than being an ambassador for Emirates at an event like this.'

Added Tong: 'It's always great to touch down here and see my family, although I really like living in cosmopolitan Dubai. In fact, Emirates is almost as cosmopolitan as Dubai. We have cabin crew from 112 nations on board.'
