The government yesterday rejected an application to change the zoning status of the former married police quarters site at Hollywood Road from residential to heritage. But in a gesture towards preservation it said it would withdraw the development brief. A Town Planning Board spokeswoman said the application was rejected because the site's final use was still under public consultation, due to end next year.
