Home seekers spoilt for choice
The outlook for the property market is uncertain, but home seekers may feel happy to have plenty of choices with attractive prices.
According to Koh Keng-shing, an executive director at Landscope Surveyors, transactions in the luxury residential market have improved this month, compared with October.
The asking prices for houses in Island South and on the Peak have dropped significantly in the past few months, with those in Island South down 30 per cent on average.
If you are looking for a house on the Peak, you may want to consider a 4,600 square foot garden house at 11 Pollock's Path.
According to Landscope Surveyors, the asking price of the house is about HK$190 million or HK$41,304 per square foot.
The house has a view of the Victoria Harbour.
In view of the uncertain outlook for the economy, some home seekers may consider leasing properties instead of buying.
According to Colliers International, a 3,000 sqft townhouse at 51 Mount Kellett Road on the Peak is available for leasing.
The house is fully furnished and provides four bedrooms and a 1,000 sqft garden.
